FAQs

Here are common answers to some questions, and we hope that they answer your queries and concerns. However we know that there are always more specific questions so for further information please contact us.

Is Asher Care the right home for me or my loved one?

We work closely with the Social Services and the Hospital Discharge teams who may have recommended us to you for future care. These teams may contact us first as regards to your possible placement, needs and suitability.  We will then attend your home or the hospital to carry out our pre-assessment – this will give us a picture of your needs and we will assess if we can meet them.

We will give you feedback from the assessment about the care we can provide you.

Can I look around the Home before making a decision?

Yes you are more than welcome to visit the Home before making a decision, however we would recommend the you contact the Home first to affange a time/date to speak with the Manager or Assistant Manager so that they can help answer any questions you may have.

Am I under pressure to make a choice now?

No you are not under pressure, we recommend that you look at as many homes as possible before making a decision on where you choose to stay.  We recognise that this is an important decision and not one that should be rushed.  We are happy to help and guide you in this process.
